ACCT 5113 - Advanced Accounting

This graduate-level course will focus on preparation for the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) section of the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam. Using actual case analysis, an emphasis will be placed on U.S. reporting for consolidated firms that have merged with or acquired other companies. In addition, there is also a focus on International Financial and Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the accounting and reporting for nonprofit organizations.
