The study of major choral works from historical and stylistic perspectives as it relates to performance practices. Topics to be discussed will include historical perspectives, compositional techniques as they relate to rehearsal procedures, instrumentation, ornamentation, traditional and representative interpretations, conducting techniques, original language and translations, rehearsal procedures.
