CIS 4313 - Digital Forensic Principles and Practices Credits: 3 Fall, Even
This course introduces students to the science of conducting digital investigations. Topics include chain of custody management, determination of attacks, interpretation of digital evidence, formation of toolkits and data analysis or network and online evidence, basic concepts for setting up a security operations center (SOC). The course also presents the technical, logistical and legal challenges in digital investigations. Students will be prepared to take certification exams at the end of the course.
Prerequisites: CIS 2523 , CIS 2713
