An introduction to children’s ministry in theory and practice, particularly the issues and practices fundamental to ministering to and with children and families through local church, private, and public agency settings. Special emphasis is given to historical and philosphical approaches to children’s ministry; the development, leadership, and administration of children’s ministry programs; childhood faith development; instructional theory and practice; and principles for effective ministry today.
