This course highlights mathematics curriculum, materials, methods, and procedures related to the theory and practices of teaching mathematics in grades 1-8. This course provides the background for teaching contemporary mathematics in the elementary school using manipulatives for computing basic operations, mathematical concepts, problem solving and logical reasoning. Practicum required.
