OCTH 6122 - Research I: Fundamentals of Scholarship Credits: 2
This course introduces the fundamentals of scholarship including types of scholarship, general research principles, CITI training for human subjects’ research, and the concept of evidence-based practice. Students will become familiar with resources available to them including those at the university that can be used throughout the research process to develop evidence-based practice questions, obtain peer-reviewed research, and develop the skills needed to compose a literature review. Students will be encouraged to view research as a means to serve others and seek truth while reflecting the Christian values of integrity, stewardship, and ethical responsibility.
