OCTH 6542 - Occupational Therapy Evaluation & Interventions V: Musculoskeletal Conditions Credits: 2
This course explores the etiology, symptoms, evaluation, treatment, and intervention of various disabling musculoskeletal conditions commonly addressed in occupational therapy settings. Students will deepen their understanding of the human body as a creation of God, learning to assess muscle function, range of motion, joint mobilization, sensation, pain, edema, and wound status with compassion and care. As part of their training, students will develop effective intervention and treatment plans for clients facing musculoskeletal challenges with an emphasis on holistic care that nurtures both physical health and spiritual well-being. The course includes an in-person experiential lab component, allowing students to apply their skills in a practical setting.
