OCTH 6554 - Occupational Therapy Evaluation & Interventions IV: Conditions in Children and Youth Credits: 4
This course examines the conditions affecting children and youth that influence their occupational performance and the daily lives of the family unit. Students will explore pediatric frames of reference and relevant occupational therapy theories, integrating these insights with a biblical understanding of human development. Drawing from this foundation, students will select and implement assessments and interventions for various impairments-physical, developmental, sensory integrative, perceptual/cognitive, and psychosocial-while considering the holistic well-being of children and their families. The course also includes an in-person experiential lab component, allowing students to apply their learning in a compassionate, faith-driven context.
