OCTH 6633 - Orthotics, and Physical Agent Modalities Credits: 3
This course provides a foundational understanding of the theory and evidence required for selecting and utilizing physical agent modalities and splinting within the context of occupational therapy practice. Students will enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through case studies, self-assessments, splint analyses, hands-on laboratory exercises, and reflective self-evaluation. The course also addresses licensure requirements and competency issues, ensuring students are well-prepared for professional practice. With an in-person experiential lab component, students will have the opportunity to apply their learning in a supportive environment that encourages both skill development and a commitment to serving others.
