SLP 3023 - Acoustic and Articulatory Phonetics Credits: 3
This course provides a detailed study of phonetics, focusing on the analysis and transcription of speech sounds. Students will learn to utilize phonetic transcription and explore key speech science concepts specifically related to the acoustic and articulatory features of speech sounds. Emphasis will be placed on the practical application of phonetic transcription to the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders.
