Another graduate-level course designed to prepare the student for the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) section of the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam. This course includes the history and development of accounting theory and its impact on current professional standards. Case studies will be incorporated to assist with the student’s development of the knowledge and skills necessary to research and analyze specific practice and policy issues.
