CHEM 3433 - Materials Chemistry Credits: 3 Spring
This course examines the mechanical and electrical properties of microscopic and bulk materials such as metals, alloys, ceramics, polymers, nanoparticles, and composites. Synthesis, processing, and characterization of materials will be investigated. Mechanical properties such as stress, strain, elasticity, aging, and temperature dependence will be considered in conjunction with design theories. Cross-Listed: ENGR 3433 Laboratory required. Additional fee required.
Prerequisites: CHEM 1214 and PHYS 2525 or CHEM 1115
