PHYS 4183 - Numerical Analysis/Computational Physics

Introduction to the numerical algorithms fundamental to mathematical and scientific computer work. Includes elementary discussion of error, polynominal interpolation, linear systems of equations, solutions of nonlinear equations, numerical solutions of ordinary differential equations, difference equations, and numerical integration. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or better in MATH 2214 MATH 3203 , and PHYS 2514 ; or permission of the instructor.
